Leicester City have been told by supporters they already have a replacement for Youri Tielemans following the latest update on the Foxes star midfielder’s future.
The midfielder has been a key player for Brendan Rodgers’ side since arriving, initially on loan, from Monaco in January 2019.
He etched himself in the club’s history books in May when he scored the memorable winning goal in the FA Cup final win over Chelsea.
City have been in talks with the player over a new contract for some time as they try to persuade the Belgian to extend his stay at the club.
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio RomanoTielemans made the decision to ‘reject’ the club’s offer and not extend his contract.
This means he will only have one year left on his contract when the summer window rolls around, which will give City a decision to make if an acceptable offer is made, given that he will not be available for anything. only 12 months later.
Following the latest update, fans took to social media to give their reaction.
Here’s what some had to say.

Dan Middleton: Not surprised at all. I love Youri, but he deserves this next step. Let’s just hope we get a decent monetary return for him. #lcfc
Canadian foxes: It’s not shocking to see the news about Tielemans. What worries me now is the level of competition we are going to see for the rest of the season. #lcfc
Andrew Joshi: Common knowledge around here for a while. I hope he doesn’t tarnish his reputation with his performances. Not been the player we know and love #lcfc this season. Too bad, but we have already lost big players and we have always worked.
Chris: Playing devil’s advocate, I wonder if that might open the door for Dennis Praet. A quality player and no guarantee that Torino will pay the money to sign him. Start KDH and invest in wingers and a centre-back. #LCFC
Kayleigh: Actually, it breaks my heart #LCFC
Mick McGuckin: Fantastic player and one of the best midfielders to put on the IMO jersey. Gave me a special day with my boys at Wembley. Go finish your career with us with some performances from MOM #thanksyouri
benji: This man will be missed, he will always have a place in the history of our club, our starman
Brandon: Thanks for the memories but it’s time to go, as long as he goes abroad I don’t really mind, we already have his replacement at KDH at the club
Scott: Thanks for the memories, Yuri. Absolutely gutted.
Lennon Veasey: £50m this summer and hopefully move to another country, can live with that, he will also go in a good way, it was unreal for us.
